WHEN I LEAVE YOU
And you see the blankets of wildflowers
in spring and summer
When a buck bounds gracefully while a
cotton tail runs for cover
And a squirrel leaps to the next
tree
Watch for the cardinals - listen to their
song
Watch the grace of the hawk
-
As he rides the wind across our Pleasant
Valley
TRY TO THINK OF US
When You hear a coyote howl or yelp for
its mate
And a red tail hawk screams as he dives
for his prey-
The cooing of the doves
Or when that whipoor will calls-
that I could not hear
And when the thunder booms with rain on
the roof
Be kind to the dog- try to relieve her
fear
Marvel at the humming bird - its color
and flight
Enjoy the calm of a warm summer
night
AND WHEN I THINK OF US
The tears won't stop. And what could have
been.
So many hurts -again and
again
This should not have
been
We fought the monster through thick and
thin-
The wretched pain that had no
end-
MY DEAR THINK OF US AND OUR BELOVED
PLEASANT VALLEY
When you feel the hot Texas sun
-
And the relief of a
cloud
The warm rain of spring from a tall
thundercloud
The beauty of our place just
freshly mowed
The smell of a spring
thunderstorm
The mocking bird's song from a tree top
far away
AND THIS WAS YOU--THE BETTER PART OF
US
The unending care and support given - too
many self-sacrificed days
The pain endured - and hope for better
days
The feeling that you will conquer -
whatever is in the way
The feeling that there will be better
tomorrows
When the monster is
subdued
PLEASE THINK OF ME --MY ONLY
LOVE
AND I WILL BE WITH YOU - WHERE EVER YOU
ARE
