Christmas Is Over

by: Pam Tobiasposted: 11/17/2011

Christmas is over; the lights have gone out;

The Grandkids have been here with hardly a pout...

The table looked lovely with lights all aglow;

My turkey did brown so nice and so slow...

The sweets and the pies were such a delight;

Even my gravy turned out just right...

Stockings were opened to reveal tiny treasures;

The smiles, however, could never be measured...

The tree and garland shone pretty this year;

The bows on the wreaths looked especially dear...

Grandpa and his guitar seem as one tonight...

Singing Feliz Navidad with all of his might.

Our three grandsons built a small tent;

The Kodak film was all but spent...

Our college daughter got a fishing rod;

She loves to fish so this isn't odd...

Our youngest grandson won't give up is passy;

But he is so sweet and never sassy...

Our house is a mess; but right now I don't care.

What a Wonderful day... HIS Love we continue to share...
