Remembering a Soldier

Remembering a Soldier

He remembered 911 and shook his fist, folded up in spite.

He said he won't forget the men it took to set this terror right.

So, off he went to right the wrongs and protect our world in war.

A soldier now, who, with bravery, knew what this war is for.

He was a man, a father too, with many family and friends.

He became a soldier, for his loved ones and country he defends.

He prayed that no matter what would happen, they'd be safe at home.

As he knew little truth about the sites and country he would roam.

There was little light, no luxuries, bad food, and dust flew in his eyes.

There was the injuring or killing of his comrades, as he saw their demise.

But still, he went on to do his best to make his home a better place.

And fought his best, with God's grace, and courage on his face.

He saw his family rarely and unspeakable things were seen.

He loved this country so much, but his attackers could be mean.

One day, protecting a few soldiers, his bravery was to come alive,

As all he thought of was to be the best and for that he would survive.

All 3 soldiers are safe now for their families to see once again,

Because of the courage of this soldier, they all gathered then.

What they saw was something wrong but not surprising at all.

The one young man lie next to a babe of war, after saving 3 mens' fall.

So, one thing is true in nature, one thing I can see.

No matter where we go, there is still humanity,

But people suffer and countries fall to a few who cannot find,

What one man will do for us in war and the wars of mankind.

So, share with us on this day and every day you can,

A strong heart, some love, and praying for God's hand.

To help our men at war, with the poverty, suffering, and pain,

That we can not only take this day and just this day we pray,

But always love our soldiers and put our hearts into the campaign.

Of prayer and remembrance of our soldiers each and every day.
